Privacy Statement

This site is a static archive of Banff Executive Leadership Inc. and of the Leadership Acumen library. It exists to preserve published writing and a record of a practice that no longer trades. This statement describes how the archive as it stands today handles personal information. The short answer is that it does not handle any.

What this archive collects

Nothing. The archive collects no personal information from visitors.

There are no forms anywhere on this site. There are no user accounts and no logins. There is no newsletter signup. There is no comment system, no ratings, no reviews and no submissions of any kind. There is no search box that records what was searched for. There is no way for a visitor to send information to this site, because no mechanism to do so has been built.

Cookies and tracking

This archive sets no cookies of its own. It runs no analytics scripts, no advertising tags, no pixels and no fingerprinting.

No third-party embedded content is used. There are no embedded videos, no social media widgets, no maps, no hosted comment services and no external fonts or scripts that would report a visit to another party.

Server logs

Standard web-server request logging may occur at the hosting layer, as it does for effectively every site on the public internet. That kind of logging typically records the address a request came from, the page requested, the time, and the browser's own description of itself. It is a routine operational function of serving a web page. It is not used here to build a profile of any visitor, it is not linked to any other information, and it is not analysed for any purpose beyond keeping the site running.

Sharing

No data is sold. No data is shared, traded, rented or transferred to any third party. There is no advertising relationship attached to this site and no commercial use is made of visitor information, which follows from the fact that none is collected.

A historical note

The original site operated a mailing list. Readers could subscribe to receive Leadership Acumen, the practice's newsletter on governance and executive leadership, and the original privacy statement existed largely to describe how that list was handled.

No such list is carried forward into this archive. It is not maintained, it is not held here, and no subscription of any kind is possible. The Leadership Acumen articles are simply published as pages and can be read without giving anything in return.

Requests and corrections

Because no personal data is collected, stored or processed by this archive, there is nothing to request, nothing to correct and nothing to delete. There is no record of any visitor to produce, and no file to amend or erase.
